Stop the presses, Hayden Christensen has finally confessed how he feels about sand
If there’s one thing Anakin Skywalker does not like, it is sand. According to the future Sith Lord, sand is “coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.” All true.
But now how does the man behind the heavy breathing, Hayden Christensen, feel about sand?
This one quote from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, has taken on a life of its own in the years since the movie’s release. It’s kind of — uh, and this is putting it nicely — a not great quote. That aside, it has very much developed a cult status over the years, and fans have run with it to great lengths.
Definitely paid $130 to have Hayden Christensen sign a jar of sand #SWCO pic.twitter.com/JeuVkmD8Wj

Now, it’s finally gotten back to Christensen, and it’s time to ask the tough questions: What are your true feelings about sand?
Sitting down with The Star Wars show at Star Wars Celebration this past weekend, the question came up, because of course it did. This is the first celebration Christensen has attended since 2002 — 15 years ago. So come on, Hayden, tell us about sand.
"Well, you know, it's not very smooth, it doesn't really stay in one place. So, I'm not such a big fan of it myself. Although, if it leads to the water I can tolerate [it]."

TBH, that’s how we all feel about sand.
Christensen backed up his explanation, continuing, “Anakin came from a desert planet, so I understand his contempt for it.”
Okay, great. Now that the sand question has been answered someone please ask Hayden how he feels about being held by the lake on Naboo.
