A Harry Potter bar is now open. Who wants a butterbeer?
Get ready Harry Potter fans, because the muggle world has gotten just a bit more magical.
Paris Xerx and Matt Rocks are basically wizards because they’ve opened up a Toronto-based bar that’s right on par with The Three Broomsticks. Except, in this world, it’s called The Lockhart. Sound familiar? We would hope so because it’s named after unreliable author/the least capable Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher Gilderoy Lockhart. So, essentially, these bar owners know their Rowling-related trivia.
“Without knowing any of the Harry Potter stuff, you already will think of this as a cool bar. You’d come here and see the stag’s head on the wall and go ‘Wow, I love that’, but a Harry Potter fan might say ‘That’s a Patronus’,” states Xerx. And it keeps getting better…
The bar’s sign is in the shape of a heart and reads “all was well” (the very last line in the Harry Potter series) in a delightfully curvy script. It’s also filled to the Sorting Hat’s brim with other fan-favorite surprises!
