“Harry Potter” fans! You can now see how many times each spell was cast because magic is real

The thing about being a Harry Potter fan is that even after the books have all finished and you’ve watched all the movies, it becomes an integral part of your life

Seriously, not a day goes by that we don’t think about Hogwarts, magic, and the adventures of our favorite boy wizard. That’s why 2016, with the release of The Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, has been a majestic year for us Potterheads. Yet, we still find ourselves scrolling through Tumblr, Reddit, and various corners of the internet for bits and bobs that relate to Harry Potter.

That’s why the inner (okay, outer too) geek in us totally freaked out when we saw this magical chart.

An infographic created by Skyler Johnson can now show you every time a spell was used in the Harry Potter books and it’s completely incredible.

You can seriously look up every mention of spells like “accio,” “expelliarmus,” and even unforgivable spells like the cruciatus curse. In fact, the infographic is so detailed that you can organize the spells by the order they appear in the seven-book long series or by the amount of times they appear.

Check out the INCREDIBLE infographic below.

So which spells come out on top, then?

Well, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that accio and the patronus charm are particularly popular. However, we were surprised to find out that the boggart-ridding spell, riddikulus, was eighth on the list. Likewise, avada kedavra appears slightly too highly for our liking.

Right at the bottom of the list is waddiwassi, the charm that, according to the Harry Potter Wikia, allows one to “shoot a small, soft mass of whatever the caster so desires at a target or victim.” The spell gets only one outing in the books during The Prisoner of Azkaban when Lupin fires a piece of gum stuck in a lock at Peeves the poltergeist.

Basically, this new infographic feeds into our completely obsessive Harry Potter minds, and we have a feeling that it may do to yours, too.
