The newest picture from the “Harry Potter” play is giving us Hogwarts chills

Today is finally the day: A bunch of new students just enrolled at Hogwarts!

No, the school of witchcraft and wizardy isn’t suddenly doing summer sessions. The previews for the new Harry Potter play, Cursed Child, have officially begun! The show won’t technically open until July 30th — one day before Harry’s birthday FYI —  but a few lucky thousand or so people get to see J.K. Rowling’s newest creation live, and on the stage, before it’s truly shared with the world.

While Rowling has asked us, very politely, to keep all the secrets of the play to ourselves (as to not spoil the magic for others), the official Cursed Child Twitter did tweet out one quick little sneak-peek. This is quite a magical moment. false

Alright, so let’s truly digest this picture. It’s clearly Hogwarts, and we know that because of the house flags hanging from the rafters (Hufflepuff REPRESENT). In the center of the stage, it appears as if Ron and Hermione’s daughter, Rose (played by Cherrelle Skeete) is in the limelight. How? Why? What’s going on? Was she just sorted? Is this the dueling club? IS SHE THE CURSED CHILD??

All good questions, and unfortunately, we don’t have the answers yet. If you don’t have tickets to Cursed Child (don’t worry, there are millions of us out there) the script will be available the same day the show opens, July 30th.

In the mean time, keep staring at this picture. Maybe it’ll magically spring to life!
