You’ll soon be able to venture into Harry Potter’s Forbidden Forest IRL — if you’re brave enough

Feeling defiant? Well, now you can serve your inner rebel while also fangirling over Harry Potter. How? By venturing into the Forbidden Forest that Professor Dumbledore explicitly told the students of Hogwarts was, well, forbidden.

The Warner Brothers Studio Tour in London was already a must for Potterheads but now, the tour is expanding to include a permanent Forbidden Forest experience. Beginning March 31st, visitors will be able to follow in the footsteps of their favorite Hogwarts students who don’t obey authority.

Earlier this month WB Tour London released a teaser using #FollowTheSpiders leading fans to suspect something Forbidden Forest-related was heading for the tour:

However, the official announcement was made at Harry Potter Celebration, a three-day event dedicated to all things Harry Potter:

And not long after, fans started getting excited about venturing into the Forbidden Forest — despite Dumbledore’s warnings.

Over on Instagram, the Follow the Spiders account has been releasing photos to create a big picture of what can be expected while walking through the forest, and we’ll admit that it looks pretty magical and terrifying.

So what will you discover in the Forbidden Forest? According to the official website, here’s a little about what you can expect:

Filled with 19 trees each with a diameter of over 12 feet, you will walk beneath the giant entwined roots on your journey and will even be able to control the weather using the same techniques created by filmmakers.

There will also be an abundance of creatures including a full-size model of Buckbeak (!!!) and Aragog, the Acromantula — which sounds terrifying. For anyone scared of spiders, this might not be the experience for you. Intricate details are a staple of Harry Potter so the Forbidden Forest will likely be packed full of fun surprises for long-time fans.

Sounds like it’s time to start planning your Harry Potter-themed vacation to London for this Spring!
