You can buy a Harry Potter face mask that reveals the Marauder’s Map as you breathe

Face masks are quickly becoming the new normal, and as we get used to wearing them in public, some people are getting super creative—forget stripes, polka-dots, and gingham (although those springy prints are cute). One artist, TikTok user, and Potterhead created the most innovative face mask we’ve seen yet. She used her artistic (and maybe magical?) talent to make black face masks that transform into the Marauder’s Map from Harry Potter when you breathe. You’ll have to see it to believe it.

Colorado artist Stefanie Hook posted a video of her handmade, Harry Potter-themed face mask to her TikTok account, @coloradopex. In the video, we hear the music of “Hedwig’s Theme,” which any Harry Potter fan will instantly recognize. Hook places a seemingly normal black face mask over her face, but as she breathes, the Marauder’s Map slowly fills the fabric, drifting mysteriously across the mask just as it does on the parchment in the Harry Potter movies.

She captioned the TikTok, “I am the maker of the mask ??? #mask #hp #artist#smallbusiness #magic *checkmeouton FB ***CPEX”

Hook’s video quickly went viral, and Potterheads were eager to get their hands on their own Marauder’s Map face masks.

 She filmed another TikTok, more obviously staged this time, after the excited response to her first video.

In the now-viral TikTok, Hook is wearing a Gryffindor scarf, a black face mask, and round, wire-rimmed glasses. Any Potterhead would immediately be drawn to this video when perusing TikTok, but what happens next is truly magical. Alongside a sound clip of the Weasley twins revealing the Marauder’s Map to Harry in the third film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Hook touches a wand to her face mask, and the map slowly fills the fabric.
