Our favorite Harry Potter co-stars were almost in another movie together
The next time Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are all on screen together, the world will practically explode with the nostalgia. The former Harry Potter co-stars have each gone on to do their own independent things, but that doesn’t mean working together again wasn’t a possibility. It’s just, according to Daniel Radcliffe, it wouldn’t have been very good.
While Radcliffe has acted in countless films since the franchise, proving his ability to move past his iconic role as Harry Potter, he says the roles the three actors were being offered towards the end of Deathly Hallows were not super enticing.
While we want nothing more than to see these three on stage again, we have to admit, that does sound a little cringe-worthy. Radcliffe explained that they all had some growing up to do before committing to new roles. “A lot of the work I’m doing right now, some of these scripts were floating around about five years ago,” he explains. “I needed to grow up before I went ahead. I’m a much better actor now.”
To be honest, we think he’s always been an amazing actor, but we’re happy the trio has matured in a way that’s allowed them to only do the things they enjoy and the things they think are worth doing. Buuuuut, we’re totally still crossing our fingers for that reunion.
