Harry Potter has some solid advice for the cast of ‘Star Wars’

If there’s anyone who knows how to go from child star to mega star over night, it’s Daniel Radcliffe. At one point in time, he was simply a regular boy who just happened to land a role in one of the biggest movie franchise of the last decade. The next day — and eight movies later — everyone knew him as Harry Potter. There’s no better person to offer information on how to deal with newfound fame, and that’s what Radcliffe has now done for the new Star Wars crew.

Radcliffe received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past week — no big deal, or anything — and offered up some awesome advice to newcomers John Boyega and Daisy Ridley. While both have a few projects to their name so far, if you haven’t noticed, there’s a whole lot of Star Wars going on right now. Boyega and Ridley are about to find themselves in the middle of a whole lot of hoopla, just like Radcliffe did once upon a time with Harry Potter.

Talking to Entertainment Tonight, Radcliffe offered up some awesome advice for the two of them, simply saying, “Just enjoy it!”

“There’s some weird thing that I think people feel about franchises, where they’re like, ‘You do that so you can do other cool work’ — franchises are fun!” He explained, “You get to do stuff in franchises that you don’t get to do when you’re doing little indie movies. You get to do stunt sequences and crazy action stuff. It’s a lot of fun!”

That’s some pretty amazing advice, for new and seasoned actors, alike. Franchises are fun, and if the actor in them are having fun, the audience watching is having fun too.  So you hear that, John and Daisy? Just enjoy the crazy ride, wherever it may take you. It took Radcliffe all the way to the Walk of Fame.
