“Harper’s Bazaar” U.K. will pay tribute to the late Princess Diana with this stunningly gorgeous throwback cover
In a partnership with Kensington Palace, Harper’s Bazaar UK is commemorating the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death with a breathtaking portrait on a new special edition cover of the magazine.
During her lifetime, Diana was the most photographed woman in the world and appeared on countless magazine covers, so the special Harper’s edition definitely seems a fitting to way to pay tribute to her memory.

The March issue will be available exclusively at the shop at Kensington Palace and the palace’s online store, in conjunction with its upcoming exhibition, “Diana: A Fashion Story.”
The photograph chosen for the cover is also extra-special because it first appeared on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar U.K. back in August 1995.
Shot by iconic French fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier, the black and white portrait might be the most glamorous thing we’ve ever seen.

Harper’s chose to feature Diana on the original 1995 cover in honor of her visit to the United States to receive an award for her extensive charity work.
The photograph is just as stunning as ever, and we love that with the anniversary of her death drawing near, Princess Diana’s humanitarian contributions are still being recognized. Just last week, her sons Prince William and Prince Harry announced their plans to commission a statue in their mom’s likeness to be placed at Kensington Palace.
The London palace was Diana’s home until her tragic death in a car accident in Paris in 1997. Now Prince Harry calls Kensington Palace home, and Prince William and his family plan to permanently move to their apartments there next fall.
