DJ Tanner herself confirms who the hardest workers on the ‘Fuller House’ set are
With each little tidbit of news that comes out of the currently-in-production Fuller House, we proceed to get more and more excited — and how could we not be? With secrets pouring out from familiar faces like John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, Bob Saget, Jodie Sweetin and more, it definitely feels like this is going to be a really sweet reunion to remember — and it’s all thanks to Netflix.
Now, actress Candace Cameron Bure, who played oldest sister DJ Tanner in the original Full House and a more grown-up version of the character in the reboot, is revealing a few secrets from the set.
In an interview with TIME about her new book on her Dancing with the Stars experience (entitled Dancing Through Life: Steps of Courage and Conviction) Candace revealed that so far, filming Fuller House has been pretty awesome — and those lucky people who have gotten to be members of the studio audience are having a great time watching!
When it comes to actually buckling down and working, however, Candace reveals that back in the day on Full House it was the kids who actually kept the adults in line! “I think we kids were more professional than they were back in the day, and I say that lovingly. They were always just joking on set, and we were like, ‘Hey, we’re working!’,” she said. “The same is true right now. The three of us girls, Jodie [Sweetin], Andrea [Barber] and I, we’re still saying the same thing, ‘Hey, we’re trying to work!’”
It sounds like nothing has changed in terms of who tends to be a little goofier when they’re supposed to be working! But Candace was quick to add that being on the Fuller House set is like the best blast from the past.
“It feels so good to all be back together, working together — obviously we see each other all the time, we’re great friends, but it is such a pleasure for all of us to get to work again,” she said.
The more we hear, the more we can’t wait for one of our favorite families to return to our screens.
