Happy National Pretzel Day! This wonderful food is believed to be the world’s oldest snack, dating back to 610 AD in southern France. It was there that monks baked thin strips of dough in the shape of a child’s arm folded in prayer.
What better way to celebrate, aside from eating them, than with some pictures displaying the multiple flavors, shapes and varieties of pretzels? If I had to choose a favorite, I would obviously go with the chocolate. Do you guys have a favorite type of pretzel?
