Happy National Chip and Dip Day!

March 23rd is National Chip and Dip Day!

Why Celebrate?

Chips and dip have long been the quintessential party snack. Not only are they super easy, but they are a very economical choice for hosts that won’t break the bank when providing food for your guests. Chip and dip plates are a real crowd pleaser, and pretty much anyone can get down to that easily accessible snack table crunch. There are so many different chip and dip combos, and today I am going to provide you with a list of five classic go-to’s for almost any group event.

  1. Pita chips with hummus – Perfect for when you are hosting Book Club, because you know your ladies will indulge more when they feel like they are being healthy. Providing a veggie tray on the side is a good option to, and is delish with hummus as well.

  • Tortilla chips and salsa/guac – Casual hangout sesh with pretty much anyone. And in my opinion, when it comes to the salsa, the chunkier the better.

    3. Tortilla chips and 7 layer bean dip – A game night essential. It’s substantial enough that you will fill up your guests without feeling like you need to provide a main course. Sub in Fritos instead of tortilla chips if you want to switch things up.

    4. Lays and french onion dip – A birthday party classic. I don’t think I can remember a birthday party growing up without my mom’s perfect french onion dip. It’s also insanely good paired with cut up veggies, if you’re going for a more healthy vibe.

    5. Sun Chips and spinach n’ cheese dip – Great option for a daytime event, like crafting with the besties or a picnic in the park. It would also pair well with a glass of wine for a casual night in.

    How to Celebrate

Host a shin-dig and bust out some yummy chip and dip options. Maybe even have a chip and dip bar, where guests have multiple choices! Be sure to provide choices for those who are gluten free or have other dietary issues. There’s just so much out there, so you really can’t go wrong.
