Hanson is releasing a new Christmas album and we are so ready for it

You may not have your totally epic Halloween costume ready, or even saved up for your next pair of cute fall ankle boots, but we hope you’re excited to walk in the Winter Wonderland with Hanson next Christmas! It’s been 15 years since our beloved band of brothers have released a Christmas album (their best-selling album Snowed In) — but after many hints on Instagram, Producer Mark Hudson, who worked with them on their first three albums, announced the boys were debuting a new Christmas tape called Wintery Mix for all of us to get festive with Christmas 2017. So yeah, we have awhile to get amped for it, but hey. The good news is that it’s definitely HAPPENING.

Back in June, Hanson announced that the Wintery Mix Christmasalbum will be released in 2017. They are spending the next year perfecting this album because they want to produce a body of work that is not only nostalgic and special for their fans, but creates the most dynamic anniversary experience a fandom has ever had. This will be a pretty big release due to the fact that 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of HANSON.

"We have already whittled the potential track list down to 20 songs (when you include original songs) and we still have a lot of hard decisions to make, but it will all be worth it when this Wintery Mix is finished," Hanson wrote.

After the release of Wintery Mix, the boys will be taking the festive spirit on a world wide tour that will lead into the release of their brand new full-length album 25/7. So start saving now and keep a lookout for the release of the upcoming tour dates and locations. If you’re a die hard fan, and can’t wait for the 2017 release or looking to get familiar with the band, Hanson.net members will get a special behind the scenes of the music preparation and pre-production on their website.

In the meantime if you can’t wait until next year for new music, Hanson will be releasing a new EP in the coming weeks called Play. So until then I’ll be playing “MMMBop” on repeat!
