Live Ham4Ham show ends and teaches us how to say goodbye with a song that was cut from “Hamilton”
A little over a year ago, a Broadway show about an obscure founding father was starting to gain steam, so the actors decided to put on a little show for the people waiting in an hours-long line for a chance to win tickets. That little Broadway show was Hamilton, and in July 2015, just as the show was really starting to become popular, Lin-Manuel Miranda and his cast started performing a live show for people waiting in line for lottery tickets called Ham4Ham.
Now, just over a year later, the show announced that Ham4Ham is ending.

The show is obviously a lot of work for a cast that is also performing a full, complicated musical almost every night of the week, but we will definitely miss seeing the impromptu performances.
Ham4Ham got a huge crowd for its final show, as it tried to teach them how to say goodbye.

Ham4Ham pulled out all the stops for their final performance with a full band and a never-heard-before song that was cut from the show.

The show was a special treat for rabid Hamilton fans, because they performed a special song called “Congratulations,” which was cut from Hamilton before it hit Broadway. The song was sung by Renée Elise Goldsberry, who won a Tony Award for her role as Angelica Schulyer. She has been a frequent performer at Ham4Ham, and this performance was particularly special, because it’s Renée’s final week on the show.
“You have invented a new kind of stupid, a damage you can never undo kind of stupid, an open all the cages in the zoo kind of stupid.” Now those are some lyrics we can really get behind to both describe cheating husbands.
