Halsey just donated a HECK of a load of money to Planned Parenthood
After making a pledge of support, pop singer Halsey has made a HUGE donation to Planned Parenthood, and we can’t stop cheering her!
Ever since she burst on to the scene, we can’t get enough of Halsey. We love that she’s not afraid to speak up on matters that affect her life, and we were blown away by her strength when she recently opened up about her endometriosis and the surgeries she had. What’s more, she’s a badass feminist who stands up for her rights. Oh, and she makes some pretty amazing music, too. It’s understandable, then, that she’d totally make the Forbes 30 under 30 list (something we think is totally deserved, tbh).

However, we’re completely in awe over Halsey’s latest incredibly generous move.
While she was also attending the Women’s March over the weekend, Halsey made a pact on Twitter. The singer said that she’d match with a dollar the amount of re-tweets she got on a tweet in five hours and donate the money to Planned Parenthood.

Well, it seems that Halsey has stayed true on her promise. In a follow-up tweet, the singer revealed that she was donating $100,000 (!!!!!!) to Planned Parenthood, and WHAT A WOMAN.

Halsey also tweeted about attending the Women’s March on Saturday, saying her “whole body is still buzzing“ from the experience.

While she might be fairly new in the music world, it’s so incredible to see Halsey standing up for what she believes in, and acting upon her beliefs. We love that she’s inspiring her fans to act on what they preach.
