Halsey’s New, Delicate Hand Tattoo Is a Special Tribute
Yesterday, July 6th, Juice WRLD’s “Life’s A Mess” featuring Halsey dropped six months after the rapper’s untimely death in December caused by an accidental overdose. To commemorate both the artist and the single, Halsey commissioned a delicate, new hand tattoo from artist NAL.
“Juice was one of the greatest people I have ever known, and one of the most brilliant artists we will ever live to witness,” Halsey captioned a July 6th snippet from “Life’s A Mess” on her Instagram. “A true genius who had lyric and melody spilling out of him without any second thought or hesitation. And a beautiful soul who believed in spreading love and creating a community for people to feel less alone.”
To honor her late friend and celebrate their final single together, Halsey got “life’s a mess 999” written in cursive script across her knuckles.
The 999 is a tribute to Juice WRLD’s 999 Club, which is all about “Taking the negative (666) and reversing it,” as the official 999 Club Instagram states.

“Life’s A Mess” is the third posthumous single released from Juice WRLD’s upcoming album Legends Never Die. The first was “Righteous,” followed by “Tell Me U Luv Me,” featuring Trippie Redd.
Halsey also wrote in her tattoo post, “It means everything to me that I could be a part of this album. I cried the first time that I heard it. With all the love in my heart, #lljw.”
