Get ready to scream: Jamie Lee Curtis posted the first look at Laurie Strode in “Halloween”

Your fave Scream Queen is back, and she hasn’t changed one bit. Jamie Lee Curtis, who is currently filming a new Halloween movie (!!!), shared her first behind-the-scenes look from the set of Halloween. That’s right, Laurie Strode is *officially* back for the newest entry in the franchise, and we basically (read: definitely) can’t handle it.
Jamie Lee Curtis tweeted the first look at Laurie Strode from Day 1 on the new Halloween: The wavy blowout. The cool, belted pants. Her power stance. It’s all so perfect.
Curtis posted the picture of herself in character, posing next to the film’s director, David Gordon Green. He has a somewhat fearful look on his face, which is hopefully just a joke, or a nod to how spooky Halloween really is. After all, the 1978 OG essentially created the slasher genre, and totally influenced the future of American horror cinema.
That’s not all, though. The classic horror flick also introduced audiences to Curtis and, bizarrely, future Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards. (Richards plays one of the kids Curtis babysits.) And now, it’s back! It’s back for real!
The photo features the original slate from Curtis’ first Halloween, which is amazing.
What a badass artifact of cinema. Seriously.
"First shot! First day. Same slate. Same Laurie," Curtis wrote. "David Gordon Green directing from his script. Happy Halloween 2018 everyone. See you 10/19/18 @halloweenmovie #HalloweenMovie."
Sure, we just kicked off 2018 a few weeks ago, but Halloween 2018 can’t come soon enough.
Welcome back, Scream Queen legend (and alum of Fox’s tongue-in-cheek Scream Queens)! We’ve super missed watching a seemingly invincible psychopath in a bad William Shatner mask stalk you through the idyllic suburbs.
So yeah, we’ll be there on October 19th. And truth be told, this might be the most excited we’ve ever been to be scared out of our minds.
