The Entire Schedule of New Hallmark Christmas Movies Is Out

Mark your calendars for some holly jollies.

It’s time to pull out the hot chocolate, put on your coziest Christmas sweater, and prepare your couch for a whole lot of sitting because the holiday movie season is starting right now. (Didn’t you know? Time is meaningless in 2020). The Hallmark Channel has released its entire schedule for Countdown to Christmas 2020. Thank you, Hallmark; we needed this.

This year is the 11th anniversary of the network’s special holiday movie slate, and it plans to air 40 original movies will across both Hallmark networks. This is serious, people. Your DVR and eyeballs are going to be consuming a lot of Christmas spirit.

Hallmark’s Christmas movie schedule starts early—Saturday, October 24th, to be exact. And look, we are Halloween people over here, but if there’s a year we’re ready to feel the holly jolly vibes a little early, it’s 2020. We could use it.

As for the movies themselves, many of your fave Hallmark stars are back for another round of holiday joy, including Mean Girls‘ Lacey Chabert, Rachael Leigh Cook, Candace Cameron Bure, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Janel Parrish from Pretty Little Liars, among others.

More importantly, there seems to be an increased commitment to inclusion and diversity in this year’s Hallmark holiday movies, though there is always more to be done.

For example, in Christmas House, Mean Girls‘ Jonathan Bennet and Brad Harder play a gay couple who are trying to adopt. And Ben Savage, from Boy Meets World, stars in Love, Lights, Hanukkah!, which, of course, is a Hanukkah movie.
