One of the most talked-about celebrity hair transformations took place more than two months ago, there’s yet another aspect of the drastic change that we have to discuss: The Weeknd stores his old locs in a safe, according to NY Mag. Apparently, after the chop, Weeknd passed the hair off to his manager who promptly stored them.

So, we’ll allow a second for that hairy bit of info to sink in, just like we needed time to process the fact that The Weeknd couldn’t sleep peacefully with his old hair.

Although The Weeknd was almost recognizable with his new haircut, we aren’t mad at the Starboy singer’s decision to part ways with his hair.

We feel you on that one, Weeknd. Anyone with remotely annoying hair struggles should be able to relate. But about this erm, stash of old locs — could it be that this decision to hoard hair means we haven’t seen the last of The Weekend’s uniquely sculpted locs?

We only wish that he didn’t cut his locs before an artist created this bust in his likeness.

Maybe it’s us, but this statue would’ve been infinitely more cool with Abel Tesfaye’s old ‘do. Just sayin’.
