"Girls" star Jemima Kirke has the cutest Easter egg hair now and we barely recognize her
Jemima Kirke became known to us when she appeared in HBO’s Girls as Jessa Johansson, lovable and slightly-too-relatable human disaster. While Jessa develops throughout the series, going from a Category 5 human hurricane to a relatively minor tropical storm, one thing that we associate with her is her long, beautiful, dirty blonde hair.
It suits her free-spirited and well-traveled character — and since we’re mostly familiar with Jemima Kirke for this role, we tend to associate Jessa’s style with Jemima Kirke, too. But now that Girls has officially ended and she no longer needs to look like Jessa Johnasson, it seems as though the British actress felt like a change was in order.
We’re accustomed to seeing Jemima Kirke like this…
…but now she’s rocking something a little more adventurous.
And we LOVE it!
Brightly colored hair can be super difficult to maintain, and potentially even harder to pull off. Personally, we think pink might be one of the most difficult shades to rock, but Jemima is totally killin’ the game with her new lewk. We especially love how, in this picture shared by best friend and former Girls co-star Lena Dunham, she paired her vibrant new hair color with a low key, black and white outfit. It makes for a really great, effortlessly cool contrast!
While this isn’t the first time that Jemima has experimented with coloring her hair, it’s been two years since we last saw her with pink locks, and this time it’s much more of a vibrant, all over color than a pastel ombre, which is what it looks like she was doing before.
