Model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne recently shaved her head for a movie role. After showing off a silver painted-on pixie cut at the Met Gala, Delevingne debuted a “head tattoo” at the MTV Movie and TV Awards.
Although the actress does have many interesting pieces of body art, Delevingne’s latest geometric design is actually painted on top of her buzzcut with dark silver paint. People Magazine suggests that perhaps this design might be paying homage to her new sci-fi film, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

She posted another paparazzi shot of herself with a freshly-shaven head, and wrote that she’s tired of societal beauty standards. Delevingne asked that if we strip away our material items, who are we and what makes us beautiful?
