When we were little, all we cared about was having long hair. Maybe it’s because we have a serious soft spot in our hearts for princesses like Rapunzel. Maybe it’s because we were competing with friends to see who could grow their hair the longest. However, now that we’re older, we’ve turned to the dark side — the side of short hair. Whether we’re rocking a bob or a blunt, shoulder-length style, there’s something easy and breezy about our ‘do these days. And now, Mila Kunis and her rippled bob are inspiring us to revamp the iconic hairstyle this fall.

With its texture and slight angle, Mila’s bob feels like the grown-up cut we’ve been searching for.

Not quite a wave or curl, this bob features what we’d call a ripple. A cross between a pin curl and slight wave, this texture-heavy hairstyle is modern-day pinup glamour done right. Mila complemented this style with an asymmetrical black long-sleeved top, a midi-length leather skirt, and some simple pumps.

Altogether, Mila looked striking, and her hair was the finishing touch.

The best part of this look? It’s easy to recreate. Even if you don’t have a bob, you can use a curling wand or straightening iron to create some kinky, rippled waves in your hair. And if you already have an angled bob, you’ll be on your way to Mila-approved hair status in no time.

Simply finish off with some eyeliner, pink or nude lips, and voilà! Chic as hell.
