Hailey Bieber Finally Debunks “Homewrecker” Accusations and Reveals Her Talk With Selena Gomez
"It's all respect, it's all love," Justin Bieber's wife explained in a new interview this week.
As much as some might want a juicy backstory story about the Hailey-Justin-Selena love triangle, Mrs. Bieber is here to report that it’s simply just not the case.
On a new episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast that debuted this week, Hailey Bieber addressed some of the crucial details surrounding her role as “the woman who stole Justin from Selena” back in the day.
“I respect her,” Hailey replied to podcast host Alex Cooper. “There’s no drama, personally. It’s all respect, it’s all love.”
Bieber admitted that she and Selena Gomez have even talked since the infamous secret wedding ceremony that took place at a New York City courthouse in 2018.
Deets on what they’ve spoken about were not revealed during the podcast chat, but according to Bieber, “If everybody on our side knows what happened and we’re good and we could walk away from it with clarity and respect, then that’s fine.”

The Rhode Skin founder also addressed her alleged role as a “homewrecker” during the interview: “It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship. I would never do that.”
The mudslinging all goes back to when Justin Bieber and Gomez split up officially in June of 2018, according to a timeline put together by PEOPLE, after almost eight years of on-again-off-again relationship volleying.
Then known as Hailey Baldwin, the model and the famous Canadian singer had a brief liaison during one of the breakups, before JELENA reunited once more.
A few months later, Justin and Hailey were such an item that they announced their engagement in July of that same year.
Some fans thought the events that followed the notorious breakup were too close for comfort, leading to a tirade of attempts to sabotage the now-wife of Justin Bieber at red carpet events and on social media.
She took time to address that nonsense too. “They’ve never ruined anything for me,” she stated on the podcast. “They’re not ruining my life. They’re not ruining my happiness.”
Cheers for not letting the haters get you down, Hailey. Still, many outlets like The Daily Beast have noted that never once is Selena’s name actually mentioned. A careful media tactic? Or a slight in Selena’s direction?
Whatever the case, we hope the two powerhouse stars have settled their differences. Gomez is reportedly dating around, most recently seen getting close to Italian producer Andrea Iervolino.
