On August 31st, we’ll celebrate the 22nd anniversary of Princess Diana’s tragic, untimely death. To pay homage to “the people’s princess,” Hailey Bieber posed as the off-duty princess for a photo shoot in the most recent issue of Vogue Paris. She rocked several of Diana’s classic mid-90s casual looks, including the classic combo of bike shorts, oversized sweatshirts, and tube socks for days. The photos remind us that Diana was not only a humanitarian and a breath of fresh air in the royal family, but she was also a bona fide style icon.
“New story for @vogueparis shot by @gstyles styled by @virginiebenarroch,” Bieber captioned an August 30th Instagram post, which shows off the first of several Diana-inspired shots. “All credit and inspo to the amazingly beautiful and iconically stylish Princess Diana who I’ve looked to for style inspiration for as long as I can remember. Thank you for leaving behind such an iconic fashion and style legacy.”
