Hailey Baldwin just bought Justin Bieber a ring, because “putting a ring on it” can go both ways
The internet has been on relationship high alert ever since we learned of Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin’s engagement on July 8th. And we currently have a new pre-wedding detail to obsess over, because Baldwin recently purchased a special gift for her fiancé: a glitzy new ring with his initials engraved on it.
The Blast reported that the duo hit up Pristine Jewelers in N.Y.C. after they returned from their romantic getaway in the Bahamas. At the shop, Baldwin reportedly made two purchases: A diamond-encrusted “JB” ring for her beau, and a ring bearing the word “Baby” for herself. Baldwin’s ring could be a sly reference to Bieber’s 2010 breakout hit, but this hasn’t been confirmed.
Pristine even snapped a photo of the pair and shared it on Instagram on July 11th with the caption, “Congrats to the new Power Couple on their engagement!” But, as People.compointed out, Baldwin made sure to keep her 7-carat engagement ring from rival jeweler Solow & Co. out of the shot.
Looks like Baldwin wanted to put a ring on it, too.
Although Bieber and Baldwin’s engagement came as a surprise to many fans, the couple has known each other for years, and their relationship grew out of a close friendship. Bieber’s love for his new fiancée was apparent in a touching Instagram post he shared on July 9th announcing the news.
"Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!" he wrote. "So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY."
