This Paris Fashion Week show gave us ALL the crazy hair day goals
For his Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear collection, Haider Ackermann had velvet on his mind. Literally, the Columbian-born designer sent models down the Paris runway outfitted in velvet blazers, velvet trousers and velvet skirts with thigh-high slits, and they donned deconstructed chignons wrapped in velvet.
Hairstylist Kamo Katsuya achieved this unique, arachnid vibe with the help of the bare-faced look created by makeup artist Lynsey Alexander. “It’s an otherworldly beauty,” Alexander told T Magazine. “It’s about very blank faces with beautiful skin.” Alexander left the eyes and lips neutral, and she bleached the models’ eyebrows, which worked to highlight the velvet textures and eccentric hair-dos.
The final result looked similar to how I imagine Tim Burton would re-design a rainbow, while only using moody velvet scraps he snipped off his Bohemian friend’s couch. Subtle? No. Beautiful? Not quite. Crazy Hair Day goals? Oui, absolument!

Take those selfies ladies, this hair is basically why Instagram was invented.
