Jake Gyllenhaal FaceTimed Ryan Reynolds on “Late Night” in the name of bromance

In lieu of their recently-blossomed bromance, Jake Gyllenhaal FaceTimed Ryan Reynolds during his appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. And it was just as beautiful as you’d imagine it would be.
If you haven’t heard, the two actors have become besties after shooting their new movie Life together. We’re not exactly sure why it has taken so long for Gyllenhaal and Reynolds to find their way into each other’s lives, but that doesn’t even matter.
Because they have an official bromance, and there’s no turning back now.
Gyllenhaal stopped by Late Night to talk about Life, of course, but he couldn’t help but talk about the new leading man in his life.
"I've known him in passing a little bit, but I didn't know him 'til we started working," Gyllenhaal told Seth Meyers. "And he's just a great dude. Like, he's a great human being."
Meyers followed that raving review by confirming, “You are friends with him?” To which, Gyllenhaal jokingly responded, “No. I mean I don’t know him at all. I’ve never really spoken to him.”
But he’s such a kidder, because 10 seconds later he was FaceTiming Reynolds. The first FaceTime attempt failed, because Reynold’s didn’t answer.
But that wasn’t the end of it.
During a break on the show, Gyllenhaal emerged from backstage to show the audience that Reynold’s had, in fact, FaceTimed him back. Their conversation was super bromance-y, and we loved it.

And yes, Reynold’s was pushing an empty stroller.
