Gwyneth Paltrow is totally down to let her daughter wear her famous Oscars dress to prom
Gwyneth Paltrow is known for her many accomplishments: her acting, her fantastic sense of style, her lifestyle company Goop . But let’s not forget she’s also a totally cool mom– one who is totally willing to let her eleven-year-old daughter Apple wear her famous Oscar dress to prom!
“What’s funny is I’ve been saving my gowns and special things since twelve years before she was born, so I have everything,” Paltrow told PeopleStyle. “I have every Oscar dress.”
This includes the famous pink Ralph Lauren dress Paltrow wore to the 1999 Academy Awards, where she won Best Actress for Shakespeare In Love.
“Maybe she’ll wear it to prom and do a Pretty in Pink thing and cut it up,” Paltrow speculated, before quickly adding, “I don’t know if I’d let her chop that one up.”
It seems Apple will have her pick of clothes to choose from, and that collection keeps growing, thanks to Goop’s new collaboration with Valentino.
As Paltrow explained, “We have this idea about the modern woman being a wonder woman– so many of us are working and juggling kids and careers and, you know, running from a meeting to a market to make dinner to get kids from karate practice. I like to see all of us in this day and age as modern wonder women. I was really thrilled with the concept we came up with, and obviously this collection is the heightened version of it.”
We agree, and think Paltrow’s attitude makes her an even more fantastic role model for her children and her fans. We can’t wait to see what she designs next!
