Gwyneth Paltrow just confirmed her engagement to Brad Falchuk
Congratulations are in order! Gwyneth Paltrow confirmed her engagement to Brad Falchuk, and she chose a very “Gwyneth Paltrow” way of doing it — with an announcement in the latest issue of Goop, which will be out tomorrow.
Still, they also made sure to alert the media as well. Good Morning America made sure to announce the engagement along with a statement that the couple released. “We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives, when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship,” they said.
As you probably remember, Paltrow is known for announcing her “conscious uncoupling” with ex-husband Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay. Yet according to reports, the two are still quite amicable with each other and have nothing but respect for each others’ relationships since.
While many news outlets have been reporting Paltrow’s engagement to Falchuk, with some sources saying the big moment took place last year, it makes sense as to why the couple would want to announce the news on their own time. The couple never outwardly hid their relationship, which was confirmed back in 2015, but they’ve been somewhat private about it.
Paltrow’s tweet about the engagement is perfect.

If you’re unfamiliar with Falchuk, here’s a little bit of background. Like Paltrow, he’s involved in the industry, having co-created shows like Glee, American Horror Story, and Scream Queens. The two reportedly met on the set of Glee. At the time, Falchuk was also ending a long term relationship with his ex-wife. As splitting with someone is rather painful, we wouldn’t be surprised if the two offered each other some support.
"I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy," the actress said in Goop's second issue.
We wish nothing but the best for both of them, and can’t wait to see if they’ll reveal any wedding details.
