Gwen Stefani’s kids had to run through a giant paper wall to get to their Christmas presents
If you’re looking for a magical place to celebrate Christmas, look no further. Gwen Stefani’s kids ran through wrapping paper in order to get to their presents, making Christmas morning just a little more exciting.
Stefani posted a video of the magical morning, made even better by her kids’ attire. The two oldest, Kingston and Zuma, were wearing adorable lion onesies. Also in their “pride” was 3-year-old Apollo, who looked like a little Christmas elf in his green and red striped pajamas. Stefani shares her sons with Gavin Rossdale, whom she was married to for almost 13 years.
These days, Stefani has been in headlines with her co-judge on The Voice, Blake Shelton. It’s sweet to see that not only is Shelton in the video waiting to surprise the kids, but he’s also recording the big reveal. While the room is decked out with presents, it’s an unwrapped toy car that’s the big surprise for Apollo. Stefani made sure to get his surprised reaction on video.
As it turns out, while we’d love to give Stefani sole credit for creating the wrapping paper wall, it looks like she admitted to having something very similar growing up. Obviously it made quite an impression on her.
Stefani said to NME earlier this month that her parents did something similar for her and her siblings growing up.
"My parents are amazing and every Christmas morning we’d wake up and all four of us would be in the hallway. The archway going into the living room would be completely gift-wrapped and we’d crash through it," she said. "I think it’s awesome."
We have a feeling that when they’re old enough to start their own families, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo might carry on the Stefani family tradition.
