Gwen Stefani posted the sweetest message to Blake Shelton when “A Guy with A Girl” hit number one
It’s genuinely hard not to fall head over heels with Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, because they’re just so supportive of each other. And not only did Shelton embark on the most romantic gesture of writing a song about Stefani called “Guy with a Girl,” it hit the #1 spot on country radio!
He was obviously over the moon about the warm reception from fans, but it was Stefani who changed her Twitter profile picture to a shot of Shelton.
And that was just the beginning, because after that she posted the sweetest congratulatory message.

This was in response to Shelton’s own post, where he expressed his excitement and gratitude for achieving the coveted spot.

Talking to Entertainment Tonight about what the song means, Shelton gushed about what Stefani:
"I just like being with her, but when she’s all dolled up and we go places, it’s always fun for me. If she was here right now, not one person here would be looking at anybody else but her. It’s just cool to know that’s who I came here with. That’s basically what [my song ‘A Guy With a Girl’] is about. They may come up and talk to me, but it’s only because I’m one person over from her. Pretty cool."

He’s lucky to have her, but she’s also lucky to have him. They make a great tag team; on stage and in life.
