Listen up, because Gwen Stefani just revealed the key to her success

There’s no question that Gwen Stefani is a role model, and her essay for LinkedIn published this morning proves that she has some really important things to say. The singer, The Voice coach, and L.A.M.B. designer spoke about honesty and commitment, and how those values influence success.

“One thing I’ve learned in my life, so far, is that the creative process is more important than the end result,” Gwen began, explaining that creativity means opening yourself up and listening to your instincts. It’s a spiritual process, but she’s always sure to adhere to three important principles: “I remain real to myself, pure about the project and true to my whole aesthetic.”

She also advocated for knowing when it’s time to step back and take a break, because these pauses can be just as important to the process. As she wrote:

As long as you listen to yourself, you’ll make the right choices for your personal journey. That’s a reminder we probably all needed.
