Gwen Stefani got Blake Shelton an exquisite armadillo cake for his birthday
Ever since these two got together, they’ve been giving us major #relationshipgoals, and it’s possible they’ve raised the bar yet again while taking birthdays to a whole new level. We’re talking about Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and an armadillo birthday cake. The country music star celebrated his birthday this past weekend, and girlfriend Gwen made sure it was one to remember. Blake spent his birthday surrounded by friends and family, while being showered with love, and enjoying a special armadillo dessert.
There’s no doubt this girl is in love, Gwen adorably documented all the festivities of Blake’s 41st birthday party.
We’ll definitely get to the sweet PDA and the silly moments Stefani posted to her Instagram, but right now we’re mostly intrigued by this cake!
This thing is on some Buddy Valastro “Cake Boss” level of greatness. It looks so real! From his golden tail to his very lifelike head, Benny (we’ve just named him Benny) the armadillo looks good enough to eat.
Gwen went on to post this short video of Blake showing off his sillier side, just hanging out with gifts and balloons on his head.
She also posted a sweet photo of her giving Shelton a celebratory smooch. Stefani captioned, “I get to kiss on the birthday boy @blakeshelton #happybirthdaycowboy.”
And because Blake’s special afternoon fell on the same day as Father’s Day, Blake was happy to show some love to Gwen’s dad, Dennis, by giving him a big smooch.
Compared to Blake’s big 40th celebration last year, this was a little more low-key, but will definitely be a birthday to remember. Not just for Blake but also us, because we can’t seem to stop thinking about that darn armadillo cake. Happy Belated Birthday, Blake!
