Everyone’s out to kill the “Guardians” in the latest trailer, and don’t you dare hurt Baby Groot

The hits keep on coming. Literally. It’s almost time for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 but before we get to see the whole film, we’ve got another trailer showing what the Guardians are up to this time around. Short answer: It doesn’t look good.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is bound to have lots of adventure and excitement, and we see a taste of it in this new 30-second trailer. And while it might only be 30 seconds, the more Baby Groot in our lives, the better, amirite?!

Just don’t hurt him. Don’t you dare.

In the new trailer, the “hits” keep on coming. Star-Lord notes that the Sovereign and the Ravagers want them dead — so it’s not looking good for the home team. But, is he a little bit to blame?! He actually says “hit me with your best shot.” You’re a little bit cocky there Peter! And whether we’re talking about the cool jams that are sure to be scattered throughout the film or Mantis actually just getting smashed by a giant asteroid-looking thing flying through the air, the danger level for the team does seem awfully high.

Basically, we’re hoping everyone can make it through the movie alive! Especially Baby Groot. Watch the full trailer below and decide whether breaking down doors with guns blazing is the best strategy in this situation.

The next Marvel film and future winner of Best Soundtrack, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 *hits* (get it?!?) theaters May 5th. And as long as nobody lets anything bad happen to Baby Groot we’ll probably all love it.
