“Greatest Showman” is doing sing-along shows, so you can really belt out “This Is Me”

By now you’ve probably seen The Greatest Showman, and have streamed the soundtrack at least a million times. But if you’re tired of just belting the songs out while alone in your car, we’ve got some good news for you. Select theaters are going to be showing the movie in a special sing-along format. Yes, it will finally become socially acceptable to belt out “This Is Me” and “Rewrite the Stars” as loudly as you can, right there in the theater.

If you haven’t seen the movie yet, but love a good sing-along, this is for you. And, if you haven’t committed every song to memory like some of us have, don’t worry. You can still take part in the musical theater fun. The theaters will be playing the film with the lyrics of the songs displayed at the bottom of the screen. So whether you’re obsessed with The Greatest Showman or just love musicals, you’re gonna have a good time.

Unfortunately, the sing-alongs aren’t happening at every single movie theater in America. However, it is happening at about 300 theaters, starting on Friday, January 12 and running for a week. You can head over to the Greatest Showman ticket website to see if there is a sing-along happening near you, as well as snag tickets.

The soundtrack from the film has been widely praised by fans and critics alike. Written by Academy Award-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the soundtrack is currently #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart, has reached #1 on iTunes, and even took home the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for power-anthem sung by stellar Keala Settle,  “This Is Me”.

So what are you waiting for? Do your vocal warm-ups and get ready to join in with all of the other Greatest Showman fans for the greatest sing-along on earth!
