This enormously adorable Great Dane is now a world record holder for being really, really tall
A Great Dane from the United Kingdom is now officially the tallest dog alive. Freddy, the 4-year-old pup from Leigh-on-Sea, measures at 7 feet, 5.5 inches while standing on his hind legs, making him the Guinness World Record holder for tallest dog.
Yes, you read that right. This precious pooch is taller than most basketball players.
“If we go out in the daytime we get interrupted every five seconds, Freddy's proud owner Claire Stoneman told the BBC. “Cars brake and stop to look at him.
Freddy’s size is truly surprising, Stoneman says, because he was the runt of the litter.
The first few weeks of his life were tenuous, with little Freddy too weak to drink his mother’s milk.
“I got him a couple of weeks earlier than I should have done because he wasn’t feeding off mum, Stoneman said. “He was half the size of [his sister] when he was tiny, so I had no idea he was going to be this big at all.
Freddy the giant dog just earned a place in all of our hearts!
WHAT A GOOD BOY.
