These lovely grandmas got Disney Princess makeovers, courtesy of Buzzfeed
You don’t have to be a kid to want to grow up and be a princesses. Fairytales are for the young, and the young at heart. We know that, and the folks at BuzzFeed know that, too. They decided to sprinkle a little bit of their pixie dust on some much deserving fair maidens, so how about this for your Monday afternoon pick me up: grandmas get Disney Princess makeovers.
BuzzFeed gathered together a group of grandmas and great-grandmas for this royal treatment. Before the makeovers can begin, the ladies muse over what the princesses mean to them, noting that while they were growing up there wasn’t such a huge princess craze. There might not have been the current princess-pandemonium that there is now, but one subject actually remembers seeing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in theaters in 1937. That’s something none of us can claim today.
Enough with the talk, though, it’s time for the makeovers. The final big reveal – with makeup, costumes, and wigs — is just too awesome. We’ve got Anna and Elsa, Snow White, and “Cinder-ellie,” and the women can’t believe it’s really them. One is just so excited to show her granddaughter, and it’s the best. Isn’t it awesome when generations can connect over a shared experience?
It’s Grandma Princess Cinderella who sums up everything perfectly in the end, when she mentions that “Every girl is a princess. They don’t have to be dressed up.” Couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
Check out their makeovers below.
