We’re so sad to learn that Grandma Yetta from “The Nanny” has died
It’s a sad day for everyone who grew up watching The Nanny, AKA the vast majority of humans on Earth. Ann Morgan Guilbert, the actress who played Fran Fine’s sassy, shuffling, one-liner-delivering, sequined-track-jacket-rocking Grandma Yetta on the series, has died of cancer at the age of 87, People reports.
Fran Drescher remembered Ann, whom she called “Annie,” in a series of sweet tweets: false false
Ann had a long and industrious career in Hollywood, appearing on a huge number of hit shows in addition to her iconic role on The Nanny, including The Dick Van Dyke Show back in the 1960s and Grey’s Anatomy. She most recently appeared on the CBS show Life in Pieces.
Today, we lost a comedy legend and a fashion icon. RIP, Grandma Yetta!
