This Heated Eyelash Curler Is My Secret Weapon Against Stubbornly Straight Lashes
Forget what you know about ordinary eyelash curlers.
My trusty clamp eyelash curler and I have been morning routine buddies for as long as I’ve been wearing makeup. Without pinching my lashes in the contraption and holding for 10 to 15 seconds every morning, a coat (or two, or three) of mascara just ends up making my lashes look darker—not longer, fuller, or more separated the way I like. At this point, I’ve tried almost a dozen different traditional eyelash curlers and settled on which ones are my favorites, but recently, I’ve added a brand-new tool to my lash-curling game: the Grande Lash Lift Heated Eyelash Curler. It’s my new secret weapon against my famously stick-straight lashes, and I need to share it with you guys.
Gone are the days when I’d need to blast my metal eyelash curler with a hairdryer for a few seconds to heat it up in the morning. Grande Lash’s Lift Lash tool is rechargeable (so no batteries are needed) and heats up to two different settings: high and low. The nifty button on the handle changes color based on your heating preference, and I find that it works best on the higher heat setting, which turns the button green.
You might think, “Heat? On my eyelids?” But hear me out: This tool is safe and easy to use. Unlike a regular lash curler that pinches your lashes into place, you simply wiggle this one and hold the comb-like brush up to your lashes to get them to curl and set. And don’t worry about burning your eyelid—the head has a grooved safety slot design that prevents the heat from coming into direct contact with the eyelid. The gentle yet effective tool delivers just the right amount of heat to coax my straight lashes up and out, leaving them looking fanned out, fluttery, and, of course, curled.
I’ve tested this tool both on my natural lashes and with a little bit of mascara applied before, and I prefer using it with mascara. Once your lashes are coated and dry, go in and hold this curler to each set of lashes for 20 to 30 seconds, slowly wiggling it upward as you go. The end result is gorgeously sky-high lashes that last all day long, every single time.
