Grab your wallet: Ashley Nell Tipton’s plus-size JCPenney line is here
Project Runway winner Ashley Nell Tipton is serious girl crush material for several reasons. The most obvious? She’s super talented. Anyone who tuned into the show’s fourteenth season knows this: We marveled at the girl’s ability to produce creative, fashion-forward pieces we actually wanted to wear — but that’s not the only reason we’re all about this up-and-coming designer.
We also happen to love Tipton’s commitment to recognizing the needs of plus-size women. We see so many lines that completely ignore women who don’t fit into straight sizes, and that’s just not cool. The truth is, plus-sized ladies want clothes that make them feel cute and sexy and stylish and fierce…and Tipton is that rare designer who is going to give the people what they want.
Tipton just released a seriously cute line for JCPenney, and her pieces hits all our marks: They look great, they’re sized to include who aren’t always shown love by the fashion industry, and they’re affordable. What more could you ask for?
Seriously, look at this bomber and crop top!
Tipton was adamant about one thing: She wanted to design clothing that would break the rules. We’d definitely say she succeeded.
These clothes include design elements we don’t always see on plus-size racks: Ripped denim, horizontal stripes, sheer fabrics — it’s all here and it’s fab.
the 19-piece collection, which is sized up to 5X, includes everything from outerwear, t-shirts, and work-friendly blouses, all priced from $15.99 to $74.99. Do you like what you see? You can shop the whole collection right here.
