Awesome news for ‘Gossip Girl’ fans: Ed Westwick has a new show
We’ve all been grieving for our beloved Gossip Girl since 2012, when it was taken off the air. Sad face. But fellow GG fans, listen up: Chuck Bass is BACK.
Ed Westwick is going to be playing one of the lead roles in ABC’s L.A. Crime, which is about two detectives who are tracking down two serial killers named Kent and Betty. TVLine describes the show as being a “potential true-crime procedural set on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip in the coked-up 1980s.” And guess who’s playing Kent? That’s right: our boy Ed.
This will be Westwick’s first role since Gossip Girl went off the air (RIP, GG). His evil sidekick, Betty, will be played by Parenthood‘s Erika Christensen. The perfect duo, in our humble opinion.
If you’re planning on following this show ultra closely like we are, keep in mind that it *might* change titles, according to a tweet by Christensen:
Oh, and BTW, looks like he’s not the only St. Jude’s School for Boys alum who got some great news from ABC this week: Chace Crawford, who played Westwick’s buddy on GG, also got a big role on Wednesday in Boom. We’re pumped for you, boys! XOXO!
