Google Images is about to start helping you shop

The internet provides an endless wealth of style inspiration. Now, Google Images will help you see how the clothes you’re browsing will look in real life.

Google announced the launch of “style ideas” on Thursday.

When Google users are browsing product images online, say for a bag or a pair of shoes, the feature will pull “street style” images of those items being worn by real people.

"With style ideas, you can see real-life options of what bag and jeans look stellar with those red high heels you’ve been eyeing. Or if running gear is more your speed, no sweat—workout ensemble ideas are just a tap away," wrote Associate Product Manager Julia Enthoven on Google's Blog.

Enthoven explains that the algorithm will also offer users an “expanded carousel” of similar items while searching through products, so you can find the perfect nude heel at the perfect price point.

“That means whether you’re researching shorts and sneakers or checking out sunglasses and handbags, you’ll be able to find product offerings that may suit your tastes,” the blog explains.

“Style ideas” launched today in the Google app for Android and mobile web, so you better get shopping!
