Good news, Miranda Sings fans — “Haters Back Off” has been renewed for a second season
As it turns out, sometimes a successful YouTube channel can turn into a successful series! It was just announced that the Miranda Sings show Haters Back Off has been renewed for a second season on Netflix. The first season, which consisted of eight episodes, debuted on October 14th of this year.
The show is based on the character of Miranda, who was created by (and played by) the super-funny Colleen Ballinger. Miranda is a quirky girl from Tacoma, Washington who is a bit too overconfident when it comes to her own talents.
Created back in 2008, the Miranda Sings YouTube channel has over 7 million subscribers. Simply put, people simply can’t get enough of her.

Of course, in true Miranda fashion, the character posted a video to officially announce the news.

And since Ballinger wouldn’t just let her own creation upstage her, she also announced season two on her personal YouTube page, stating “So excited for this next chapter in my life! I love you all! Thanks for supporting me and this crazy journey!”

(Watching them back to back is a bit of a trip. Man, Ballinger is so talented.)
It’s been reported that Season 2 will also contain eight episodes, and while an exact date has yet to be announced, we should expect to see it in 2017.
We seriously can’t wait to see what kind of adventures Miranda has next!
