We have a good idea about who Sansa is writing that letter to in the last episode of “Game of Thrones”
Spoiler Alert! Many spoilers if you aren’t caught up on Game of Thrones!
Currently, Sansa, Jon Snow & Co. are rallying troops so that they can take House Winterfell back from Ramsay Bolton. They’re not failing, but they’re not exactly SUCCEEDING. As of last episode, Jon Snow officially recruited the Wildlings (who, unfortunately, everyone in Westeros hates) and House Mormont (who were only able to give them 62 men). On total, that’s like, six-thousand less soldiers than they need. They’re in trouble.
Sansa confronts Jon, and basically tells him they’re effed — and his response is like, well, we’ll make do I guess, IDK. Obviously, Sansa has her mother’s wit and knows they will be pummeled without a larger army. So we see her writing a letter, which she signs and seals with House Stark’s signature wolf.
But what did that letter say and to WHO was it written to? Have you been wondering that all week, because I HAVE BEEN WONDERING THAT ALL WEEK.
Well, today is your lucky freakin’ day, because redditor CreepyPancakes zoomed in to see what she wrote and they actually were able to translate make it out.
It reads (according to CreepyPancakes, also great username):
You [promised] to protect me. Now you have [a chance] to fulfill your promise. [The Knights] of the Vale are under your command. Ride [north] for Winterfell. [Lend] us your aid and I shall see to it that you are [rewarded].
Now WHO do you think promised to protect Sansa?
*Whispers* Lord Baelish.
WHO has the Knights of Vale under their command right now?
*Whispers* Lord Baelish.
Who is left in this cold, wicked world who could potentially help Sansa BECAUSE HE LOVED HER MOM WITH MUCH FIERCENESS AND LIKE, WHAT OTHER HOUSE WOULD EVEN TAKE HIM IN AT THIS POINT?
*Yells* LORD BAELISH.
I rest my case. Expect Littlefinger to come save the day. Whether that’s a good or bad thing is another story.
