The 2017 Golden Globe nominations are out, and here’s everything you need to know!
To kick-start your Monday morning, the 2017 Golden Globe Nominees have been announced! Anna Kendrick, Don Cheadle, and Laura Dern delivered the special news, and so many of our fave people and movies have been nominated. You know, like…La La Land!
La La Land is up for Best Motion Picture (Musical/Comedy — among a slew of other categories including Best Screenplay and Best Director)…and yes, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are nominated for Best Actress/Actor!
Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds are also nominated in those categories, so the two Ryan’s might have to battle it out. Seriously, we can already feel the pressure rising.
Among the other actors up for big awards are Casey Affleck, Andrew Garfield, Natalie Portman for Jackie (WE CALLED IT!), Amy Adams, Michelle Williams, Hailee Steinfeld, and of course Meryl Streep — who has been nominated for 26 Golden Globes in her career and won 8! Golly golly gosh.
CALL ME A GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINEE!!! OH MY GOD. I'm in tears. And on a plane. About to take off. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!#EdgeOf17

Thank you, Golden Globes! As we speak, the entire Deadpool team is engaged in a grotesque, early morning tickle-fight. pic.twitter.com/l2LJT32tAi

Included in the Best Original Song category are ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling,’ from Trolls, ‘City of Stars,’ from La La Land, and ‘How Far I’ll Go,’ from Moana. Ummmmm how are they gonna pick just one?
And what about TV, you ask? Well, Game of Thrones and Stranger Things OBVIOUSLY, and they’ll be competing in the Drama category against This Is Us, The Crown, and Westworld. Phew… did we mention there’s some tough competition? Other TV nominees include Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Bloom, Winona Ryder, Evan Rachel Wood, Sarah Paulson and Mandy Moore.
