We can’t control ourselves any longer, Gloria Estefan is coming to “Jane the Virgin!”
Gloria Estefan, queen of the conga and turning the beat around, is coming to Jane the Virgin! And now all just feels right in the world. At least in the world of Jane Villanueva.
Gloria and her husband Emilio Estefan will be guest starring in the third episode of Jane‘s upcoming third season.
The Cuban-American musicians recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary (!!!!!), will be playing themselves on the show, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
They’ll be “swinging by on Rogelio’s request for help as he tries to adapt a Latin telenovela for American audiences,” according to EW.
Gloria Estefan will NOT be performing on the show. We repeat. They will NOT be performing.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a little Conga line anyway:

And NBD, but if you’re in NYC, you can check out On Your Feet, the Broadway show based on the lives of Gloria and Emilio.
Gloria and Emilio aren’t the first superstars to grace Jane the Virgin with their presence. Britney Spears stopped by during season 2 to play Rogelio’s nemesis, and it was magical.
In an even more perfect turn of events, the episode will be directed by Eva Longoria.
So yeah, we’re pretty excited about all of this, and really hope Gloria Estefan breaks out into song — at least for a quick second. The third season of Jane the Virgin premieres on The CW October 17.
