Girl Scout cookie-scented candles exist, and we need them immediately
It’s official — Girl Scout cookies are taking over the entire world. Ok, maybe not the ENTIRE world, but pretty much most of the world and definitely a shelf in most candle aisles. Everyone’s fave the Yankee Candle Company has now released Girl Scout cookie-scented candles and air fresheners, in case you needed another pressing reason to buy more candles (p.s. there is ALWAYS a reason to buy more candles).
The candles are available in four popular Girl Scout cookie scents — Thin Mint, Trefoil, Coconut Caramel Stripe, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. They’re perfect for when you really want to eat Girl Scout cookies, but also really DON’T want to eat Girl Scout cookies. These scents are a magical gift from the candle gods who have now given us the gift of making any room in our home smell like the world’s greatest cookies. Thank you Yankee Candle for making candles that give us life and feed our souls.
Look how cute they are (there’s even one of those weird rearview mirror hangy things):
Girl Scout cookie-scented candles are just a one example of the HUGE selection of unusual, yet enticing scents by Yankee Candle (btw this is not an ad for Yankee Candle we’re just FEELING these candle scents). Most of the candles have scents and descriptions that make sense (like Pine or Vanilla Cupcake), but some of them are so cryptic and intriguing that we might need to buy them just to figure out what in the world they actually smell like. So, in celebration of this amazing Girl Scout candle discovery and in honor of the powers that be that name our Yankee Candles, here’s a round-up of some of Yankee Candles weirdest, most amazing candle scents . . . along with their official descriptions for good measure.
“A warm breeze of soft flowers and fresh green fields captures the sweet innocence of childhood days playing in the backyard.”
My childhood wishes smelled more like Nintendo and candy, but soft flowers and fresh green fields seem nice too.
2 x 4
“The warm, unmistakable scent of freshly planed wood and sawdust evokes a sense of confidence and quality.”
It’s called 2 x 4, you guys.
Camouflage
“A natural, woodsy blend of fresh air, golden leaves and oak tree bark.”
You’ll love it if you can find it (that’s a camouflage joke FYI).
Blue Denim
“Comfortable and casual . . . this carefree mix of citrus, white flowers, cedarwood and musk is as relaxed as a Saturday afternoon.”
Oh, the fresh scent of pants.
Field of Dreams
“Is the grass really greener on your side of the fence, or does it just smell that way when you light this candle with a fresh mowed fragrance?”
This candle sounds like it smells amazing, but I really need this one to smell at least a little like James Earl Jones or a baseball.
Good Morning
“Like warm breakfast muffins, bright with the aroma of sweet pears, tangy citrus and spicy cardamom.”
So, a hint of morning breath or no?
Man Town
“Escape to the man cave with this masculine blend of spices, woods and musk.”
Because men like candles too.
Movie Night
“It doesn’t matter what’s playing — the enticing aroma of hot, freshly buttered popcorn is the feature attraction.”
If this was a real-life movie night, my candle would smell like freshly burned popcorn.
On Tap
“The cool, golden aroma of a freshly poured draft beer.”
This sounds amazing, but how do they make it not smell like a fraternity house?
Poker Night
“Escape to the man cave for power night with this masculine blend of spices, woods and musk.”
I had no idea that losing money had a scent.
Riding Mower
“Hot sun. Cool breeze. And the intensely summery scent of freshly cut grass.”
And gasoline fumes?
Tailgating
“The cool, golden aroma of a fresh bottle of beer out in the crisp air while enjoying friends and the game.”
This is so specific, and I love it.
