Gina Rodriguez got in on the plunging neckline trend at the 2017 Emmys

We love award shows because we get to see the true glamazons behind some of our favorite onscreen characters. Case in point: Gina Rodriguez.

Rodriguez walked onto the 2017 Emmys red carpet as the visual definition of radiance and confidence in this plunging neckline gown.

We love the combination of the long-sleeves with the deep neckline on this red, sequined, body-conscious dress. We think the actress loved her Naeem Khan dress quite a bit because she couldn’t seem to wipe that megawatt smile from her face.

During the show, Rodriguez presented an award and truly lit up the stage.

While Rodriguez isn’t nominated for an Emmy award herself, we have a feeling she’ll be seeing more in her future. The actress is executive producing several upcoming TV shows, Illegal and Have Mercy. Have Mercy follows a Latinx doctor who is unable to practice when she moves to Miami, and Illegal tells the story of a high school kid who learns he’s undocumented.

After her shows were announced, Rodriguez tweeted:

We love how Rodriguez has blossomed since breaking onto the scene with Jane the Virgin. Whether she’s slaying the carpet with absolute body confidence or producing some of the most necessary and timely content, Rodriguez always does it with class and charm.
