You might have missed this adorable detail hiding in “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life”

By now, it’s safe to assume that everyone on the planet has watched Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life at least once — but let’s be real, you’ve probably watched it at least two or three times right now, if not more. Considering we’ve spent the last 11 months of our lives, and tbh, the last nine YEARS, thinking about Lorelai and Rory, repeat viewings are a must. They’re also pretty important to pick up on the things you might have missed watching Gilmore Girls the first time around.

Like, did you by any chance happen to pay attention to the pictures in the background?

Probably not, because you were more than likely busy either yelling at your TV or crying. Well, go back and watch it again, but this time look at what’s hanging out around the Gilmore girls. All those picture frames with pictures? Actual images from the OG Gilmore Girls series. Our hearts, they can’t take it.

Many of the pictures are from ~fancy~ Gilmore Girls photo shoots back in the mid-2000s.

And Lorelai liked this picture of her and Rory so much, she put it in two different frames.

Others are actually scenes from episodes. Look at Jess just hanging out next to a picture from Season 1, “Rory’s Birthday Parties.”

Lane and Zach have a picture from what APPEARS to be their wedding night hanging in their kitchen.

While not necessarily noticeable on the first (or even second) viewing of A Year in the Life, the more you watch it, and the more you pick up on these things, and fall in love with the revival all over again.

And it’s probably totally okay if you start putting framed Gilmore Girls pictures all around your home, too.
