Your eyes need to see the FIRST picture of Melissa McCarthy in the “Gilmore Girls” reboot

IT’S FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!

No, Gilmore Girls isn’t here yet. No, it’s not the release date of Gilmore Girls, either (we’re patiently waiting, Netflix). But, we’ve got THE NEXT BEST THING! A PICTURE OF SOOKIE ST. JAMES!!!!

The initial thought that Melissa McCarthy wouldn’t return back to her role as Sookie probably kept you up for many nights. It was a rough time for everyone. Thankfully, she was able to squeeze in a quick cameo for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and though we don’t know what she’s doing, or what’s going on, or the location of Lorelai, we at least know that Sookie is back.

Gilmore Girls costume supervisor Brenda Maben shared a picture of herself, Yanic Truesdale, and McCarthy to Instagram. The picture is totally nondescript, and literally anything could be happening right now, but LOOK AT SOOKIE!!

Even all these years later she’s still rocking that bandana and million-watt smile. A Year in the Life can’t get here soon enough.
